Because sterling silver is a softer precious metal than steel, it allows for significantly deeper, sharper details along the entire band. Sterling Silver being a softer metal allows more contrast and definition of the fine bone ridges, facial expressions, and muscle tension.

"With this piece I explored the frustration of feeling trapped in vicious cycles.
One night I was looking through books on Medieval art for inspiration. I saw this old etching style illustration of a victim being torn apart on the Catherine Wheel.

The hopelessness of the situation struck me like a chord.

Flicking through the images, I couldn't help but think about the images and illustrations that have passed on through time. I wanted to add to that, but in order to do so I needed the right matierial.

With every Sterling Silver piece, I want to create an heirloom. Something that will be passed on long after we're gone.

The Silver will reveal brighter tones and change, but the piece will continue to tell a story.

Wrapping the barrier between life and death around your finger is quite potent. This ring will serve as an honest reminder to be present, remain true to myself and live like there’s no tomorrow."
