The Agrippa's square pendant is a powerful symbol penned by Henry Cornelius Agrippa, polymath, alchemist and occult writer. The figure is the geometric representation of Man as a divine creation, centered in the universe with God-given faculties of reason, and physically formed in divine proportions.
The arms reach out to the side to form a cross, while the figure is bordered by a square. The border represents the macrocosm, with the all-seeing eye of God ever present at the top. The man represents the microcosm or the little universe that is our day to day experience.
This piece of jewelry represents the journey of self discovery, the search for divinity, which is referred to as The Great Work and is the birthright of every human being.
Measuring 23mm x 23mm perfect square the piece has a strong structure creating a bold image, there is no background, negative space was utilized to highlight focus on the key imagery in the pendant.
